Alien Abduction: Travis Walton Interview, Fire In The Sky Author [CITD 2018]

In this episode, Edge of Wonder hosts Ben and Rob attended Contact in the Desert and had the opportunity to chat with Travis Walton, author of Fire in the Sky, who recounts his experience of alien abduction. His book is known to be the best-documented case of alien abduction ever recorded.

The time of the abduction occurred in 1975, while Walton was working with his logging crew, who all attested to seeing a saucer-shaped UFO hovering over Walton, then shooting out a beam of light, leading him to become unconscious. Walton recalled waking up in what appeared to be like a hospital and seeing three bald creatures staring back at him. He tried to fight them off until later when he discovered humans on the ship as well. He then blacked out after they gave him something that resembled an oxygen mask. Five days later, he woke up again found himself in a phone booth, thinking that only a few hours had gone by.

Recently, Walton changed his stance on the abduction, saying that he didn’t think it was an abduction at all. It seemed to him that what actually went down was that he got injured somehow, and as a result, they took him aboard to save him from death.
