The Blue Angels have returned this weekend, with MacDill Air Force Base opening its doors for the first time since 2016.
The AirFest at the Florida base was estimated to draw over 150,000 people, reported Fox 26.
While the base hasn’t been open for several years, the Blue Angels of the U.S. Navy have actually been gone for longer.
“They haven’t been in Tampa in eight years,” Maj. Ryan Garlow said. “And they put on an amazing performance. They train non-stop to be precise, within feet of each other, and perform some amazing maneuvers.”
Demonstrations by the U.S. Air Force, including its F-22 Raptor, were also planned.
