Big T, known for singing the hook to the 1999 Lil Troy smash hit “Wanna Be a Baller,” died at the age of 52.
Big T, whose name was Terence Prejean, died Monday, May 7, in a hospital in Houston, Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences spokeswoman Tricia Bentley confirmed, Billboard.com reported.
Longtime friend Tony Williams, known as Tiger T, said that he may have had a heart attack. Rapper Mike D from The Screwed Up Click said that Big T died of a heart attack, the Houston Chronicle reported.
